The Funchux campaign is to produce the world's highest quality fire-performance gear at low prices. Our mission is to provide everyone with super affordable, great looking high-performance gear so they don't have to settle for dishing out $60-$160 on a single item to some big company that spent all of $9-$20 wholesale price on the materials and 20 minutes to produce it. In today's economy, people shouldn't be forced to spend an arm and a leg in order to receive fire toys which have been finely made by experienced craftsmen. Funchux is not some corporation, but an idea. Bringing people together and advancing the technology of fire performance equipment. Our philosophy is simple: build fire toys at the lowest prices possible without sacrificing quality, and sell each piece at the price which allows x 2 of the specific object to be built and resold. (Example: It costs us $18 to build a set of Firechux and we sell them for $36) When 1 object is sold, it creates 2 objects, and so on. As we all put in a small amount, we all get something great out of it. As our campaign grows it will allow us to continuously lower the pricing of our toys.

Any persons interested in helping us achieve our goals, contact us at Funchux@live.com OR add us on Myspace!

We STRONGLY encourage you to carpool - it saves money on gas, helps us allow
PLENTY of room for parking, and establishes a greater sense of adventure among
friends. We SEVERELY encourage everyone to use vehicles with high ground
clearance (trucks, SUVs, Subarus) - we have a few locations to choose from
(weather and conditions depending), and some of them entail crossing washes and
driving on rocky roads. DO NOT bring a compact car (Honda) unless you have
experience with these kinds of roads (properly avoiding rocks, not letting
yourself get high-centered, etc). DO NOT bring lowered vehicles AT ALL. We
very well may not be able to tow you out of any sticky, and we'd really rather
not have to. Traveling to a spot with cellular signal to call for help may
entail traveling at least 5 miles. You have all been warned.

Well this year we are making Mutopia. Yet another huge and over the top fire and metal art piece with electronics incorporated and some steam in there too. Oh and we are doing some Aluminium casting as well. Pick what you are interested in.

This is a short film of FLG and Mutopia in it's prototype phase that was shown at Maker Faire. flaminglotus.wordpress.com/2008...tion/

We have done a lot of work since then and there is still a lot to do.

The FLG is a mainly female art group. You dont need to have any prior metal working skills as we can show you how to use the equipment. We want you if you are enthusiatic, want to learn new and cool skills, it would be great if you have skills (electronics / metal / tea making / casting) but you shouldn't feel worried about not knowing how to use the tools and equipment.

We welcome women and men from all working backgrounds, abilities.

Production is ramping up and we are only just over a month away from loading it all on a trailer to the burn. You know you want to be part of the busiest all night HOT art pieces on the playa. Point out the bits you welded and grinded on yourself then show your friends where the buttons are for the fire.

We have a weekly meeting for the project on Wed around 7pm at The Boxshop, Hunterspoint, San Fran. We are not just working on a Wednesday though. We will be there every evening and every weekend between now and the point it put on the truck.

If you contact us before coming out to the workshop we may be able to arrange a ride share. Contact me with questions if you want to.

Love and firey kisses from Flaming Lotus Girls - Come join us. xxx
It's looking like we will not be able to make it due to work, so I need to sell my two tickets to Fire Drums the first weekend of May in Santa Cruz, CA.
Need to sell my 2 tickets to Fire Drums, $50.00 each

I'm willing to sell them for $10 less per ticket so that perhaps someone that is really tight
on money, can still afford to go.

We're in downtown San Jose, and you'll need to be able to come and pick them up (or
arrange for someone local to pick them up on your behalf). First one that brings the cash has the tickets.
Course description:
This will be a combination of focused classes, collaborative free spin time, one on one attention, and participant directed exploration. We will cover foundation principles and forms, along with body awareness and the spin zones around your body.This will fill in holes in your knowledge, and create a mental map that will propel you towards complete freedom of movement and expression. From this foundation we can explore a variety of concepts, tricks and patterns from core poi knowledge to the cutting edge of modern poi.

Some concepts you can explore with us:

* Isolations
* stalls
* pendulums
* compound circles
* reels and crossers
* inswings
* inversions and introversions
* tangles
* atomics
* plane bending and Trinity
* polyrhythms
* the poi unit circle
* ellipses
* cateyes
* linear isolations
* hybrids
* composite spinning

After all the learning and exploration, we will of course end the night with fire spinning, so bring your wicks and fuel!

Teacher Bios:

Alien Jon:
Jonathan Everett has been spinning things since childhood, starting with himself, and expanding to socks with tennis balls in them and sticks found in the woods of Maine. Starting with his first pair of devilstix in 1995, he officially entered the world of object manipulation. In 1999, from a foundation built on devilstix and drawing inspiration from T'ai Ji and Aikido, he began spinning glowing objects on strings or in socks at "all night dance parties". After meeting other spinners he learned that objects had been spun in a similar manner for millennia by ancient cultures from around the world. This gave rise to the discovery of fire spinning, and his dedication to the art of contemporary poi began.
From devilstix and poi other object manipulation quickly followed: Sphereplay, staff, meteor, diabolo, and astrojax to name a few. These talents have been melded with a love of music and dance, including liquid, illusional, and funk styles. Jon loves to play and lives for the spark of innovation and creativity, while further honing his skill through diligent practice.
Jon has performed at the Fringe Benefit for the 1st Annual Boulder Fringe Festival, the 1st Annual Boulder Juggling Festival, Ratuva Circus performance and workshops, COSM Fire, the 2007 Burning Man Conclave, and with the ExtraTerrestrial Circus Experiment. He has taught classes around the country in poi, sphereplay, and devilstix at the Double Rainbow Ranch, Boulder Circus Center, 1st Annual Boulder Juggling Festival, Shepherd Valley Waldorf School, SphereCamp East and West, Domba/Mystic Jewell Dance Studio, Wildfire (CT), Florida State University, and at Renaissance Festivals country-wide. He also teaches private lessons.

Zan's:
Zan started performing in South America on tour with his brother Noah, and continues to burn with the same inspired passion as in the beginning. His training has led him far and wide, through a dozen countries and across the disciplines of spinning, dance, juggling, music, yoga, circus, martial arts, and acrobatics. Zan's specialty is dazzling fire performances, though he thrives on the challenge of a unique performance for each event, be it day or night. Whatever the occasion, Zan delivers pure entertainment with unforgettable class, style, and grace.
Known for his expertise in the theory and technique of poi and staff spinning, Zan has given workshops around the U.S. and abroad.

More ornaments can be added if you like. The hat also has tie end that can tie under the neck. This hat will hold a flame upon your head.Not sure what the metal structure was originally for but I found it years ago at a thrift store. The metal structure is covered in a layer of black felt and then with a top layer of stretch velvet. The hat should be dampen with water while performing in it. It is sewn to a base cap that will fit snug to the head if it is to large you can tie scarf abound you head to make a snug fit. It id decorated with sequin trim, metal beads and shells. More ornaments can be added if you like. The hat also has tie end that can tie under the neck. The metal dish that will hold the flame can be replaced if ever need by unscrewing and just replacing with another cat food can.
This is the 2nd fire hat I have ever made. It may be the only one around I think the 1st one has be lost.
This is a one of a kind piece and remember when you use this you need to have someone who is watching the flame, You will not be able to see it. This fire hat is 75.00 plus shipping. you may see some photos in my pics

there is an important Town Hall meeting wednesday.

In addition, there is a new discussion list for fire performers to discuss tips,
community interests, events, and more at:

http://www.curiousjosh.com/lafire

please sign up, more information about the list is below.

----
*Subject*: Town Hall Meeting: A Call to Arms for all Los Angeles Based Fire
Artists

*Where*: Smash Labs, 1714 Albion St, Los Angeles, CA 90031 323-227-6274

*When*: Doors open at 7pm Meeting begins at 8pm

*Who*: All members of the Los Angeles Based Fire Arts Community

*Why*: During recent interactions with Los Angeles County and State _Fire
Marshalls <http://www.film.ca.gov/LocationResources/FilmSafety.html>_we have
learned that they are in the process of designing a set of safety standards
and guidelines in an effort to standardize safety requirements within our
industry. These safety guidelines are to be implemented in the first
quarter of 2008.

We have the great fortune that our local county Fire Marshalls have
offered to allow us participate in the design of these standards.
Organizations such as the Safety Advisory for Fire and FX in Entertainment
(SAFFE)and members of the Pyrotechnics community have offered to provide
guidance or advice in the different methods of organizing ourselves and
interfacing with regulatory and enforcement entities such as the Fire
Department.

This *_Wednesday, December 12, 2007_* a Town Hall Meeting has been called to
inform the community and discuss the formation an organization comprised of
members representing the interests of the Los Angeles fire community.

******It is time for us all to come together, as a community - to openly
create our own guidelines that address issues, such as safety, performance
standards, etc. It is of the utmost importance that we collectively decide
this before it is decided for us*****

In Addition, there is a new e-mail discussion list for
fire artists and people who are interested in fire performance in the Los
Angeles area. This list can be joined by following this link:

http://www.curiousjosh.com/lafire

This list is an opportunity for us to stay in touch as a community, and
discuss a number of pressing issues that are affecting the Los Angeles fire
community such as the upcoming implementation of safety regulations,
standards, and restrictions governing our industry.

The LA Fire mailing list will be a great place to:
discuss issues affecting the fire community
share fire related tips and techniques
communicate about fire events in the LA area
and more

Please spread the word by continuing to forward this to fire performers who
are in Los Angeles, or who visit Los Angeles and perform with fire. If we
fail in this initiative then viewpoints such as "Poi is the most dangerous
tool in your arsenal" or the potential banning of poi spinning in the
direction of the audience may become a reality.

Troupes & Tool Manufacturers that have involvement in this initiative have
included: CuriousJosh, Fire Drums, Fire Groove, Los Angeles Fire Effects (LAFX),
Machina
Candeo, Mutaytor, Phoenix Projekt, Pyrophernalia / Om Fire, Sirena
Serpentina, Trick Concepts, & Volcano Flux.

*_Directions:
_*
SmashLabs
1714 Albion Street (entrance is here - big red door with cut metal numbers -
push down on the lever to enter)
The "back" door is a big roll door in the last parking lot on the North side
of Main just before the train tracks - look for the La Mano Press sign. If
it's full, there is an empty lot directly across the street on the South
side of Main Street, or feel free to park on Main or Albion and come in the
front. *main thing to remember is if you've gone over the tracks, you've
passed Albion which is a TINY street and easy to miss.

*GoogleMaps:

*
1714 Albion St,
Los Angeles, CA 90031 - it's the triangular space that starts on Main and
back up on Albion
323-22S-MASH (323-227-6274) is the office phone which I'll have on me in
case anyone gets lost.
"There are risks and costs to a program of action. But they are far less
than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction."
Here's the scoop....

Looks like we will have Overmind Works supplying the audio navigation for this one (WITCH DOKTA IN DA HOUSE!!!).

3 screens of visual projections by Endo,
large scale propane flame art by Richard Wizardry,
lighting / fire performance / deco and security by Stage6,
and I do believe that members of Troupe Salamandra will be there also....
we have a porta potty, power and water on site,
camping is encouraged.
Bring warm clothes and other stuff, it's pretty cold up there right now.

We need fire wood and propane donations (or cash to go get those items) and other small things to make this a hella cool party.

Also, a small DPW contingent will be going up Friday morning to do setup for this, volunteers would be apprieciated greatly.
We will have a small "voluteer" party/bar-b-que the Friday night before this also.
hit me up and I'll get that info to you if need be.

All Principles apply, BYO..everything

e-mail or PM me for all the info and directions, or if you would like to contribute in any way to this.
yardz@stage6pro.com

Hope to see you all there!!!

We are once again planning our spring tree planting with the Lakota Sioux on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota. This is always some hard work, but with some of the most interesting people on the planet and people who really need some help after generations of neglect and abuse.

Last year we brought 4 great fire dancers to the event and introduced the "Dance of Fire" to the Lakota. While the Lakota have been dancing for 10,000 years... they have never developed a fire dancing tradition... so it was a most interesting blending and exchange of cultures.

THIS year we will be up there from April 26-28th and I was wondering if YOU had an interest in coming with us for this amazing event?

We would be camping out near the town of Oglala for three nights and the spinning would mostly be informal on Thursday and Friday with a small show on Saturday night.

We cannot pay you to attend or perform, though we can offer a free ride from Colorado or perhaps help with some gas money and this WILL be an incredible opportunity of a lifetime to spend time with and help the Lakota Sioux!

If you are interested, let me know and I can supply a lot more details and information. Check out our TWP website too for more info on our work (www.treeswaterpeople.org)

31 Aug 2006, Just outside Thunderdome, shortly after dusk.
82 firebreathers gathered together with the intent of breaking the existing
record of 70 firebreathers all engaged in a single act of fire breathing. they
spent 6 months gathering evidence: video footage, photographs, news articles,
etc. On 29 Jam 2007, the package was sent to Guinness and the long wait began.

Now, they wait no more. It's official, the Ocean of Fire project is the current
world record holder for most number of fire breathers in one location. the
certificate has been sent from Guinness and will be auspiciously posted on the
website upon arrival.

30 aug 2007, At the shiva Vista Project, shortly after dusk
We will be gathering once more. A group in Denmark is gathering evidence to
make a claim of 115 breathers, and we may have to defend our title, so, grab a
partner and a fire breather and join us thrusday night, here:

Ok, all you feisty firey folks, this is it! The official “we’re having a conclave, now what do we do?” meeting. Everyone’s invited to co-create the magic we’ll spin on the playa this year...we need fire dancers, safety people, drummers, photographers, videographers, adoring fans...

Mark your calendars: Sunday, March 4th at noon at the Watershed, 5040 SE Milwaukie

Why would you come all the way to Portland that weekend? Glad you asked! There are no fewer than 3 other major events happening here that weekend that would make anybody travel to our fair, wet city…

Aphelion, a borg (work) party (March 3, 5p- wee hours of the morning)
March 4th’s anniversary shows (March 4, 3:30 all ages & 8:30 21+)
Community Fire and Drum Jam (March 4, 8/8:30- ???)
as well as the usual Dante’s Sinferno and, of course, the Conclave Meeting!

What more could you ask for?

How about a space dedicated to collaborative work that actually wants large bands of crazy fire performers hanging out & doing their thing?

Sound good? Then make your way to Aphelion (3/3/07) at the new Watershed building to meet up with Burning Man theme camps and conclaves, other projects, groups and businesses, and anyone else who shows up to “fly their banner.” This is also a party, complete with dj’s, dancing, merriment and madness. Oh yeah, and alcohol. And lots of cool people from Seattle and other parts of the West Coast. And fire. Oh, yeah!

This affects us as the Oregon Conclave because this space, and the 30’ wide dead end street it sits on, have been offered to us for Conclave meetings and rehearsals in exchange for participation from the community. Our part at Aphelion is to discuss fire at the new building, and begin planning on how we want to handle the fire department in relation to this building.

It's Aphelion from Burning Man, exactly 6 months till the burn.
http://tribes.tribe.net/watershedpdx

If you are interested in learning more about the conclave, please come to the meeting. Whether you can come to the meeting or not, please get in touch by phone or by email to let us know we should keep you in the loop.

You can also join the Oregon Conclave Tribe to keep up with and contribute to planning, or to post photos or video links related to the Conclave.
http://tribes.tribe.net/oregonconclave

See you soon!

So I am in AZ this coming weekend and it looks like I am teaching two poi and one contact staff class on saturday! Yeah! And maybe one more contact staff class before the S T 3 burn thing on sunday!!!

If you see me please say hi and introduce yourself....

Advanced poi classes will be covering but not limited to learning tricks and concepts in these main topic areas:

antispin
flowers
insides
shots
isolations
inversions

Arizona people who have no idea what my spinning is like....

So here are some of my videos….thanks again to sam for putting the time and effort to put these together. I have others where I flow and more around but most of these are instructional type things. The times are the times when I show up in the videos….

Contact Staff (2:29)

Poi (1:01)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jvohbzMZ3A

Doubles (2:00)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8Ptu6ArKck

Even more to read below is my bio and recommendations:

Noel Yee has been involved in object manipulation for the past three years, focusing on poi and staff throughout, contact staff for a year, and most recently contact juggling. He values his experience training and collaborating with many individuals and groups including MCP from Scotland, Dave from Colorado, Isa Issacs and Temple of Poi, Zan from Instruments of the Now (which recently released the “Encyclopoidia”), Coven Fire Collective, LSD Fuego, InterKonnected, the fire arts festival with the IK dragon, and the Fire Conclave at Burning Man for the past two years.

Noel has taught contact staff classes in the Bay Area, South Bay, and is organizing classes in NY and the East Coast during this winter. He volunteered and taught a 30 person contact staff class at FireFrums in the Fall of 2006. In the Summer of 2006, Noel worked at Camp Winnarainbow teaching children circus skills and performance techniques. As a high school teacher Noel has a talent for explicit instruction. Keep your eye out for his contact staff instructional DVD to be realesed in Late Spring of 2007!

Quotes from students
Noel has Teacher's Vision, entering quietly into his students' practice, seeing clearly what is ripe for growth, and creating motion in just that place. Learning from him as I was just a beginner myself, Noel felt to me natural and organic, tied in with my particular timing of development. Not, like so many other teachers, trying to jam me into a particular formula, or using our interaction as a subtle means to feed his own ego. With Noel I felt guided and stimulated, and excited about practicing and learning about what was to grow out of my own person. Please look carefully at this young man as a teacher, in his humility you may not recognize at first the gifts and tremendous talents that he has.
-Joshua Wyatt 2nd degree black belt in aikido

Even when I'm just hanging out with Noel, he teaches me something. Teaching is so natural to him, so second nature. He can break down the steps of a move like nobody else. He is patient and teaches through clear demonstration. He is very adept at translating the complex mechanics of spinning into something you can actually understand.
-Eunice Park performer in Bomtribe

Noel is a talented, detail-oriented, and intuitive teacher. He is generous with his knowledge and remains on the cutting edge with respect to new moves developed by the highest level of flow spinners in the United States. He critiques his students with a critical eye and will tell them in a supportive fashion that which needs to be improved. He is one of the best teachers I've ever seen.

The other night at the local Phoenix art gathering, First Fridays, we (S_T_3) were putting on a show......
I won't go into the details, but some 'in-expeirance" in the stage managment actually led to me having
one of the most devestating things that could happen to a fire breather happen to me......
......a blowback.
...My entire head was on fire. I could not put myself out.......my hair was saved by my hat, but, my face was a different story.
I was only on fire for maybe a total of 2 to 3 seconds, when one of the S_T_3 Kidz, KandiRandy, wrapped a wet towel
comepletely around my head and put me out.
....we ALL finished the show, even my scorched ass.
I have only very mild burns on my nose, cheek, lips and eye lid, all healing very well.
....that would not be the case if we had not taken time to train our personel to be effective, yet out of the way, spotters....
I would be really hurt right now if not for my spotters.
We were also performing the next night at a psytrance party, and I was breathing also,
and we had no problem fufilling that gig, even with the injuries.

Our tribe name may be S_T_3 (Safe_T_3rd),
but safety is our primary concern when it comes to our audience, venue and performers.
Like Mephisto has said....
you are going to get burned. The trick is to not get burned bad enough to not be able to put on the next show.......

Brian Birbiglia here with The Venice Vibe Tribe comin’ at ya’ with a whole lot of appreciation, adoration and gratitude.

I wanted to send out a personal thank you to all those that supported last weekends extravaganza, LA Decompression. One hundred thousand thank you’s could never express the way that I feel and the wonderful success that was achieved by all those that participated.

The Venice Vibe Tribe and I would like to give credit where credit is due and I am sure that other members of my tribe may be sending something out to express themselves and how they feel. This is from me!

First and Foremost, a great deal of admiration and accommodation goes out to The Fire Poise Dancers, Performers and the DJ’s. Magnificent and thrilling performances, and it was all of you that gave us the motivation behind our setup.

Secondly, my appreciation and high regards to the providers of the astonishingly extravagant art. Without it, we would have only had a blank canvas. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thirdly, to all those that volunteered their time, effort and gave so much of themselves not only to benefit our effort, but to enlighten the experience of all of the internally beautiful people in attendance! Much gratitude and appreciation are bestowed on you from me and all of us.

Finally, thank you BRC committee and rangers for their efforts in organizing and putting this thing all together. We love you and we when we think about you, we’re already half way home!

Am I forgetting anyone? If so, please bring it to my attention and I will be glad to give you proper praise…. because everyone truly deserves it!

One Final note before I wrap this up.

I wanted to thank Bobby I and The Venice Vibe Tribe Team that participated in setting up this event. Thank you Bobby I for taking on such wonderful projects, giving so much of yourself (and your cash), working with us every step of the way and for being our fearless leader. When I see you happy it makes everything all worth wild!

To my Fellow Venice Vibe Tribe Members: Working, living, socializing and just simply being with you makes life so much better. You are my family and my friends. You are the best, most wonderful people I have met since I started riding this rock around the sun over 34 years ago. All of my hopes and dreams stem from ideas that are inspired by each and every one of you. I am forever your friend, your Marine and your motivation! I love you and look forward to our next venture!

Fair winds and following seas to everyone, and we will see you sooner then you know at The Cre8tivitY Warehouse in Venice!

check out the website, to get an idea of my experiences, if yu need any reference or credentials...
In general, if not with a group, then perhaps anybody know which direction to go to to find my answers?
thanx a zillion, burn bright!!
I'm a drummer (african drum) that plays gigs with fire dancers, and am looking for a few girls to come spin/dance at a gig in south Orange County. The troop I normally work with is booked, so I am seeking a few female fire dancers that I could contact for a paid gig on October 7th. We're talking around a 15 minute performance, to either all live drum, or a mix of drum and music you like to spin to :) Please contact me asap at aleccm@earthlink.net or 949/370-0523. Please let me know what toys you work with, i.e. poi, staff, fingers, etc.

FireDrums IV
Thursday, September 28th - Sunday, October 1st, 2006

FireDrums is about bringing the global Fire Arts and Drumming Communities together to share knowledge and to propel these burgeoning Art Forms forward. The past 3 FireDrums were blessed with some of the most epic Fire and Drumming Jams of all time with participation from some of the world's most amazing Fire Dancers and Drummers. Truly inspirational!

FireDrums will always be open to everyone at any skill level even if you've never lit-up. Whether you're learning, teaching, sharing, inspiring, or being inspired, we welcome anyone interested in being part of the abundance of advancement that occurs when a convergence of this magnitude transpires. We look forward to revisiting old friendships and creating new ones with those who love the beat of the drums and the warmth and glow of the flame.

Everyone was a beginner at some point in their development and you can often learn just as much from teaching as you can from being taught. There will be organized and impromptu interactive workshops in the various disciplines of the Fire and Flow Arts and Drumming throughout the gathering.

LOCATION: We've secured the beautiful Cutters Scout Reservation exclusively for our next FireDrums gathering. Cutter Scout Reservation is a full-service camping facility located in the coastal mountains of California above Santa Cruz. This breath-taking 300 acre camp ground is located 25 miles from Santa Cruz and 67 miles from San Francisco. Cutter is about 2,200 feet in elevation and it's in some of the last old-growth redwoods on the West Coast. There is a full-size swimming pool, a small lake with canoes, hiking trails, bathrooms & showers with running water, bbq's, and so much more!

Things to bring: Your highest self, fire toys, drums, fuel, fire safety equipment, whatever you need to be happy in the woods, camping gear, tent, food, drinking water, friends & family, flashlight, sun screen, bathing suit, layers for varying temperatures, love & good vibes.

Things not to bring: alcohol, dogs, bad vibes.

As always, this is a LEAVE NO TRACE gathering!

Please car pool as there is very limited parking!

These 2 previous topics are VERY IMPORTANT POINTS!

This is a scout camp located within a beautiful national forest and it's our 1st gathering at this location. It's imperative that we show absolute respect for their beautiful land or we will not be invited back again. We have conveyed to Cutters how wonderful and respectful everyone has been at our past 3 gatherings and that FireDrums is not a rave or party scene.

Total capacity is strictly capped at 600 attendants by the Cutter Ranger!

Advanced Purchase Tickets: $40
*Only the 1st 450 pre-sold tickets are available at this price*
*The last 150 advanced tickets will be $50*

On-Sight (Gate) Tickets: $50
*Only available if FireDrums doesn't sell-out from Advanced Purchase Tickets*

To purchase tickets and for more info, please go to ;
http://firedrums.org/

Ticket price includes entrance to the gathering, use of all of the features listed above, up to 72 hours of camping, swimming, and lots of fun! By securing the reservation for our exclusive use, we can now put the funds received towards making this an even better experience for everyone at a lower individual cost than past FireDrums gatherings.

The Crucible is actively searching for talented Fire performers to perform in two Grand Finale Shows for the upcoming Fire Arts Festival!!!

This is an opportunity to be part of a choreographed work that celebrates the fire, music and art of the 2006 Fire Arts Festival, and it will be performed in conjunction with our headline performers - the Yard Dogs (on July 14th) and The
> Mutaytor (on July 15th).

This is how the Finale will be coordinated:
Fire artists will perform as part of a choreographed ensemble for one
set at each of the Friday and Saturday night performances, on a
raised berm above the stage and surrounded by fire sculptures. We
welcome staves, chains and hula hoops. There will be one mandatory
rehearsal with fire coordinator, Mystress Fyre, Belva Stone - most likely on
Wednesday, July 12 in the early evening. The first 50 Fire Finale
performers that sign on to perform both Friday & Saturday nights will
receive a $40 stipend - to cover transportation, etc., as well as
access to Friday & Saturday festival performances; fuel for your
performance; a fabulous t-shirt and dinner both nights. We may take
more than 50 fire performers but will not be able to offer the same
level of benefits beyond the first 50 respondents.

Please feel free to PM me or email me with more questions etc!!

Thanks so much!!!
